Here is the modified settings for MySQL database to support "Shift_JIS" encoding: [WinMySQLAdmin]Server=C:/mysql/bin/mysqld-nt.exe[mysqld]default-character-set=sjis [mysql]default-character-set=sjis[mysqldump]default-character-set=sjis Take note that you can use the winmysqladmin.exe to edit the my.ini file.
